About the Conference
The Innovative Approaches to Conflict Transformation and Refugee Assistance Conference,
funded by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Foreign Office, involves partners from
Germany, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Ukraine. It seeks to address the challenges
posed by the rise of digital media as a significant socialization context for adolescents,
focusing on issues such as cyberhate.
The conference brings together government officials, university scholars, civil society
members, private sector representatives, and international donors to present and discuss
critical research on conflict resolution and prevention in the digital space.
Key thematic priorities include understanding and preventing cyberbullying, strategies to
reduce bullying in both physical and digital environments, enhancing cybersecurity, and
combating misinformation to promote accurate and reliable communication. Participants will
engage in interdisciplinary research and practice, sharing current findings and debates to
foster innovative approaches to conflict transformation and refugee assistance.
